IMMIGRATION

 

I fancy myself, a wodrsmith (as you may have noticed?) Still, the ‘superlative' (or string of same) that describes the boondoggle going on at our southern border is something I'm not sure I can handle! Try this: WTF?

 

There are ways of thinking that are as old as the human race – maybe older. Those ways are still around, because they work. One of those ways is called Thrice Ringed, MINE!

 

In days of yore, Kings sent out raiding parties, with the sole intent of bringing back plunder. By night, those raiders would arrive at a potential target.

 

Their commander walked the perimeter of that target, keeping to the trees, looking at the target from as many angles; in as many different ways, as possible. Then the decision to attack (or not) was made, along with the best way to win. Because you didn't want to return to your King with no gold, and three of the fifty soldiers assigned, to you.

 

World thinking reveals the problem. People are living like rats. People don't like it. People have given up hope of living like anything but a rat, where they are. So they WALK, here, from Venezuela!

 

Nations are responsible for their own security. Just who are these people, swarming our southern border? The vast majority are the poor, the downtrodden; those this nation invited, so very long ago. But a few have used this breakdown of order to re-enter this country after being deported or, worse, to man a sleeper cell.

 

States are responsible for making and enforcing laws, to protect their citizens. One state is being over-run, with people. Having no connection to anyone here and being flat broke, those people tend to wander around, at night. People are scared. In desperation, that state ‘shares the wealth' with other cities, far from the problem

 

Cities are responsible to create a safe and pleasant environment, for their citizens. Now, our cities have become refugee camps, filled with weird people who speak no English and tend to wander around, at night. People are angry. They have to pay for medical insurance for migrants, while they can afford none! People are scared. But not as sacred as anyone who has run a spreadsheet on the ongoing cost of ‘greeting' an ever-expanding number of migrants, who don't even have a coat!

 

Americans are responsible only to the law, themselves and their Gods, if any. Not all Americans are dumb. Some of us realize every other article we have read or seen reveals but one of the many faces of this problem. Now the rest, it would seem, can benefit from wisdom (of the ages) they do not own.

 

Last (and always least) there are the people who come here. Most of them are running, for their very lives, away from grinding and hopeless poverty and the dysfunctional dictatorships that impose that poverty, on them. These people are looking for a better life.

 

What if someone told you that you can't seek, a better life? I hear your American answer, and I have to grin. I won't write it, here. I hoard my f-bombs, using them only, as nukes .)

 

What would it take for you to pack up the kids and set out for Venezuela, WALKING? Ask someone who has made that trip. They will tell you, quick.

 

Thrice Ringed, MINE! Now it's yours, too :)

 

It's out of control. There is no way to wave a magic wand and deal with the causes of this problem; to instantly make decent lives available, where they are, to the people who run. As long as the cause remains, so will the problem.

 

And so we see solving this problem, within any reasonable amount of time, is ‘off the table.' What we can do is respond to this problem in ways that suit our own best interests.

 

Many immigrant families are being housed in motels, at about $300 a night. And they have arrived in their tens of thousands. Got a calculator? Don't use it!

 

CAMPS MUST BE ESTABLISHED IN MEXICO

 

At our expense, of course. If Mexico doesn't like it, we can close the border to their goods… We can save millions, each day!

 

CONTROL MUST BE ESTABLISHED

 

It's not hard to find older people, who have ‘been around the block' so many times they've worn out thirty-one sets of tires; who can look in your eyes, and know what they need to know. Each and every person allowed into this country should be interviewed, at the very least. And those accepted should not be dumped, in Chicago, or anywhere else!

 

TECHNOLOGY MUST BE USED

 

An accepted family waits, in a camp. A meat packing plant in Chicago, needs workers. They meet, on a web site provided by the US government. BINGO! Now the family arrives and participates in the American dream, as opposed to causing the American nightmare.

 

IN SUMMATION

 

Given that your humble author can ‘figure out' these no-nonsense, sure-fire ways to make things better (dua), as we try to solve the problem, why has the government not able to do the same? Obviously, they are, and they have.

 

Now, at long last, the problem (relative to America) congeals, from the mist: The US government DOES NOT WANT to solve, or even deal with this problem! As insane as that may sound. They prefer to use it as a grenade, to toss at the feet of the other party, guaranteeing progress will never be made.
