CHINA

 

 

 

"It (China) said the U.S. had a responsibility to halt “the spiraling decline of China-U.S. relations to push it back to a healthy and stable track” and that Wang had "demanded that the U.S. stop hyping up the ‘China threat theory', lift illegal unilateral sanctions against China, abandon suppression of China's technological development, and refrain from arbitrary interference in China's internal affairs.”

 

Then, the Secretary of state (who is NOT Antony Blinken) arose. He paused, then asked, Have you said what you have to say, Mr. Wang? Are you done?"

 

"Yes."

 

"I have sat here and listened, to the words you have chosen. I have not interrupted you, even once. I have even extended the courtesy of asking you if your thoughts have been completed, as is fitting, for a guest, in your country. Have I not, Mr Wang?"

 

"You have."

 

"I will reply if, and only if the courtesy and the respect I have shown to you will be extended to me, as well?"

 

"It Will."

 

"You will allow me to speak, without interruption, until I have said what I have to say?"

 

"We will."

 

"Mr. Wang, in order to stand before me today; to participate, in these important discussions, one might assume you to be a wise, and able man. Yet any man who believes his opinions; his perceptions, are facts is a fool, plain and simple.

 

You chose to present your perceptions and, I take it, those of China not only as facts, but as if anyone not thinking the same way MUST be, a fool. Obviously, you know I will not be taken, by any such mania. Obviously, you know that when confrontation rears it's ugly head, all hope of communication, vanishes. Obviously, China has not sent a fool, to this table!

 

Being a diplomat is easy. All you need to do is ignore what people say, and watch what they do. From your choices, so far, Mr. Wang, your goal is not to convert chaos, into order, but to use innuendo; to cause derision, thereby guaranteeing the purpose of this meeting will not, be accomplished.

 

You're not going to bully The United States, Mr. Wang. We have everything you have, and a lot more. If you insist, working together we can, quite literally destroy this beautiful, blue planet; we can turn it into a glowing cinder, where nothing can live, except maybe a cockroach.

 

I am here to do my best to decrease the likelihood of that happening. I would ask you why you are here, but, like I said, I ignore, what people say... just as I encourage others to ignore, what I say, then watch, what I do.

 

Of the... polite requests you have made, to The United States, one is to, as you choose to see it, stop 'hyping up the China Threat Theory.' Your premise is, we are the source of that theory, if a theory is what it is?

 

Become a fly on the wall, Mr. Wang - just for five minutes. Then, in your newfound lack of bias, can you see any reason for China, when judged by Her actions, not Her words, can be seen, as a threat? Yet you gladly assign the fault for your well-earned reputation, to us!

 

Don't abandon your position on the wall, just yet. Here is China, a monster, among nations - huge, rich, powerful and, above all, unpredictable. And there is Taiwan, tiny; helpless, except for Her friends...

 

Even if you really are mentally challenged, Mr. Wang, you see where this will end, just as you see the place where Russia is, having dug it's own grave with it's brutality, and it's horror.

 

You, Mr. Wang, can choose to perceive the Taiwan issue as China's internal affair. The free world stands, in unison, against Putin's barberry. China, will be no different. China, like Russia, will become a pariah. Every one will hate you. No one, will trade with you... should there be a world left, in which to trade, after a war that will rival Ukraine, in it's pure horror.

 

The fact you persist, in this, betrays you, like nothing else can. To my knowledge, looking back over history as my guide, there is but one motivation, strong enough to take such risks as you not only accept, but seem to prefer. That motivation is ambition, to take over the world."
